After the excitement of the derailment last month had settled down it occurred to me that those bricks had been there for 150 years and replacing them was going to be an issue. Would “they” think source the right brick or go for the cheap option. Thankfully, now the scaffolding has come down, it seems sense has prevailed, though it’s going to take a while for them to weather.
