Rogue Play Theatre

RoguePlay Theatre have been based at The Custard Factory for a year now, and we are successfully putting together the Winter programme for The Mixing Bowl Theatre @ The Custard Factory.

As a Theatre Company we devise and perform in-house work and are always on the look out for artists from a variety of art forms. Kim Charnock is the artistic director of RoguePlay as well as The Mixing Bowl Theatre, and has a background in physical theatre and new writing. She has a passion for the development of new and innovative work which encompasses the ethos of The Mixing Bowl Theatre itself. By staging new work alongside more established artists and Companies, the Theatre and its programme provides a reputable and professional platform.

Behind the scenes at RoguePlay Theatre we have a team of very busy ladies organising events, establishing relationships with other companies, the press, educational institutions and new working collaborations. We aim to establish The Mixing Bowl Theatre as a unique and thriving touring venue, as well as programme a range of RoguePlay’s own work.

We also work in education, offering a range of workshops and projects from primary schools to colleges. RoguePlay Theatre believe that theatre is a important part of the creative and personal development of young people and are passionate about their role in education. This is also true for the development of adults! And so we offer Creative Business Training as well as well-equipped conferencing facilities.

NK Kreations Ltd is an organisation that helps in the eductaion of young people.

One of their projects is the Tunes Times Tables; a creative ,dynamic and effective method of teaching numeracy. Their objective is to teach children the time tables through rhymes, music and performance poetry

Young people are very much influenced by music; NK felt that introducing fun lyrics that children find amusing would help their learning immensely.
