Hours: 32 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 8.30 – 4.30
Purpose of the job: To effectively and efficiently run the office of a small greetings card company
Duties
1. To be responsible for all day to day accounting including processing orders, raising invoices and processing payments
2. To ensure that weekly statements and reminders are sent out to customers and all outstanding debtors are contacted
3. To deal with all correspondence, written, telephone and email, efficiently and in a friendly manner befitting the company ethos. Day to day duties will usually include enquiries from the public, retailers, agents and the warehouse.
4. Any other duties relevant to the nature of the post and working in a small company
Person specification
Essential:
1. 4 GCSE passes (or equivalent) to include English & Maths at Grade C or above
2. Basic level of skill in Word, Excel & Outlook Express
3. Ability to work on own initiative
4. Ability to prioritise and organise work and work to deadlines
5. Ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure
6. Ability to work effectively both on own and in a team
7. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
8. Ability to develop, implement and maintain effective systems and procedures
9. Flexible approach to work
10. Experience dealing with customer enquiries on the telephone and email
Desirable
1. Experience using Sage Accounts
2. An appreciation of contemporary design

This is an exciting opportunity to be an In House Maintenance Electrician for Commercial Property Landlord. We currently have the need for an electrician to provide support and maintenance for all electrical works.
Key Responsibilities:
- To maintain and improve where necessary the group Electrical works, minor Mechanical & ad hoc maintenance for all Group premises’ including preventative & reactive maintenance
- Regular Monthly testing / checks (emergency lighting, connections etc…)
- Provide cover for maintenance personnel
- Follow safe maintenance work practices
Other Responsibilities:
- All other reasonable ad hoc duties as required
- Compliance with all H&S policies and procedures
Experience and personal characteristics:
Essential:
- Minimum of 2- 3 years electrical experience
- Mechanical knowledge / experience
- Good communication skills
- High standard of working and keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of current regulations & legislation

Salary: £1200-£4000 per programme
The Challenge is a youth and community programme that inspires and connects young people across Britain to strengthen their communities. The programme runs in London, Northwest England and Midlands (Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Warwickshire and Black Country). It brings together young people from different backgrounds, builds their confidence, and challenges them to make a difference in their local community.
This year we are looking to hire around 300 enthusiastic and motivated people to help us to run the summer programme in 2012.
1. Programme Leader (3 or 6 weeks in the summer- £1,900 per three-week role). Will be responsible for a large team of staff and 60 young people, including all personal development and discipline.
2. Senior Mentor (3 or 6 weeks in a summer- £1,300 per three- week role). Will facilitate, lead and pastorally care for a team of 12 participants, ensuring their safety and assisting their personal development through 3 weeks of intense and varied activities.
3. Team Mentor (4 or 6 weeks in the summer plus four weekends in September- £1,00 or £1,500 per role). Will support the Senior Mentor by befriending and supporting the personal development of 2 teams of 12 participants each, ensuring their safety and assisting their- well-being .
4. Logistics Officer (14 weeks in the summer- £4,000 per role). Will make sure that the programme runs smoothly and everything happens on time.
5. Skills Practitioners (£1200- £1600 per role). Will lead sessions for a group of young people and teach them practical skills. (Media, Drama, Sports, Enterprise, Photography)
