After 20 years the Custard Factory managed to catch up with INSA, one of the most influential and mysterious artists of the 21st century. We are proud to say INSAs love of street art began at the Custard Factory and to mark this occasion we have the most fantastic new art addition donning our walls.

20 years ago INSA found the love of Graffiti and street art at a Graffiti Bastards event at The Custard Factory. Since then an artist has developed not only in street art but also in sculpture having works exhibited in London, New York and LA, along with street wall art in Hong Kong and Tokyo. The latest work to be recognised being the elephant dung high heals at Tate Britain and Sweden’s ICE hotel.

In conjunction with High Rise  Murals, an innovative outdoor media company who are bringing back sign painting to its former glory, INSAs most recent work of the iconic high heel image has excitedly donned the walls of the Custard Factory. After sitting with INSA the story unfolds with these iconic heels representing individuality,  fashion, money, sexuality, dominance, submission, fetishism and consumerism.

We are extremely proud of INSAs progress and creativity since our Graffiti Bastard event 20 years ago and wish INSAs collaboration with High Rise the best with their plans in  Russia and Australia.
