Katjes Magic Candy Factory have already conquered the confectionary world with their 3D printed customised candy, and are now seeking to change the face of medicine. The award-winning start-up, based here at the Custard Factory, have partnered with pharmaceutical experts FabRX to develop 3D printed gummies and tablets which can be filled with a personalised blend of vitamins and medicine; unique to each individual.
This will be a huge breakthrough in medicine as there will no longer be a requirement to take multiple pills and the gummies will be specially designed to be child friendly. The partnership is promising an unlimited range of doses, guaranteed correct dosage and eight delicious gummy flavours which are made from real fruit and vegetable extracts and which are all vegan and allergen free.
By combining the expertise and experience Katjes Magic Candy Factory have developed since launching the world’s first 3D printer for candy, and with the specialisms and research conducted by FabRx; this Magical mission is certain to be a revolution in medicine which will improve the lives of millions of people daily.
Still in its early stages, the exciting new project does need the help of investors and last week the two start-up businesses launched a promotional video on Kickstarter to ask for donations to make their vision become a reality. Having had an extremely successful year with numerous launches, events and awards; Katjes Magic Candy Factory are now looking forward innovating to the medical industry in 2018.
