Doesn’t it feel good to have summer back with us again? It’s a great time here in Birmingham: the sun is out, there’s loads going on, new things to try and there’s even an army of bright & colourful bears standing proudly across the city!
Here at the Custard Factory, we want to maximise these warm, sunny vibes and on Saturday 12th August, we’re really excited to be hosting the Summer Jam; a day of live music, classic vinyl records, scrumptious street food and family fun.
BIMM (whose Birmingham college is due to open in Digbeth this October) will be showcasing talent from their other campuses across the UK with FREE live music from a range of bands, musicians and singers (a rundown of some of the artists performing can be found HERE), while the Market Hall will see the return of the terrific Vinyl Record Fair to the Custard Factory (£3 admission).
Elsewhere in the courtyard, there’s going to be a range of delicious street food including traders Chef Shack, Nyam Nyam and The Vegan Grindhouse. We also welcome back the amazing CircusMASH, who will once again be running FREE circus skills workshops for children!
And to top off the family musical fun, The Mockingbird Cinema will be screening a special ‘sing-a-long’ version of Disney’s Frozen at 1pm! Tickets for the film can be booked HERE.
And remember… all of this can be enjoyed alongside our resident Custard Factory offerings! Fantastic bespoke gifts and goods from the Sara Preisler Gallery and AH Contemporary Glass, cutting-edge gaming at the Matrix VR Arcade, delicious artisan food and drink from Clink Beer and Chitty’s Cakes, plus lots more besides from our wonderful range of independent shops, galleries and cafes!
It’s going to be another fantastically-fun day at the Custard Factory on the 12th August – make sure you and your family are part of the Summer Jam!
